The Ideal and the Genius
Kant: The ideal must necessarily be created by genius that we comprehend the one through the other. So in a sense that the genius is not just getting at something in the object that they're painting They're getting at the work of nature. And those representations right to do a good picture that plow the plow would have to essentially speak to you. There's some resonance there If you just go for verusimilitude you can't get that effect.
