ECG is really important to get because that's the first step in helping to sort of direct us towards a diagnosis. It can't be one of those terrible ECGs with artefacts everywhere and you just can't tell what's going on at all. What do we need to do to minimize those artefacts? Well there's a few things that we can do. We need to undertake good skin prep so we need to shave the skinWe're then going to place those patients to rest, probably in a semi-recomptant position and their muscles aren't under tension which is going to result in tremor on the ECG.
