Single people are less likely than married people to have credit card debt. Single people also score higher on measures of personal growth and betterment. Being self sufficient has been shown to decrease negative emotions in single people, but i actually increases them for married people. The more somebody likes to do things on their own, the more likely they are to have negative feelings regarding that if they're married.
