Is There Value in Leaving Our Individuality Behind?

In the US, we don't get to the community level unless there's a crisis often. But in parts of Subson where I've lived, this question of your individuality versus the greater good is not as much of a trying decision as it is if you're from here in the US. We are members necessarily of these things every day, as well as being individuals. And we don't want to abandon our individuality to the point where we're only conformist to the group. The American desire to be so descriptive that captures the exact version of me that I am is one of the things that's contributing to our division.
