How to Use Linguistics Theory to Conlang

Most conlangers, including a lot of very good conlangers are not really professional linguists. So let's use it as a tool that is useful for us, but not do not get too obsessed by it. And we're going to have a little bit of a discussion about this. We will probably be focusing mostly on phonological theory here because myself and Joey both specialize in phenology.
