The Death of Saverus in the Early Sixties

The simmering tensions of the early four sixties hit a nice equilibrium. Skirmishing, jockeying and manoeuvring amongst the fractured power centers of the west ruled the day. Even the death of agidius in four 64 did not disrupt things too much. This new equilibrium further survived an even more potentially transformative death in four 65. During that summer, the emperor saverus apparently died of natural causes. There is some dark hinting that richamer did him in. But there is little reason to believe this story.
