Chris Ray is one of the people wielding power. He'll obviously walk out of that job and be able to make millions again. So why would you walk away from nearly 10 million bucks a year to go make less than a quarter of a million dollars a year unless it's for power? It should make you all doubt very much what's going on. Beyond corruption, you end up with things like the degradation of public health.
