The Importance of Self-Related Contexts in Theory of Mind

In your paper, you say that the most compelling need for representing others' mental states arises in self-relevant contexts. So I'm curious whether you think or whether you're sort of wrestling with the possibility that self- relevant contexts are kind of this like seedbed for theory of mind more generally. Couldn't it be the case? Yeah. It does raise the possibility that this could be the case because, well, theory of mind has always been described as the capacity to think about what other people think.
