Aristotle's Udimonia Is the Key to Happiness

Aristotle is not convinced that honor could really be the ultimate end we're seeking. All these other goods that we're seeking after are instrumental goods on our way to happiness. The reason we reject honor would be number one. Honor is out of our control. Whether we're honored or not doesn't depend on us. It depends on other people's state of mind with regard to us. We want to live a life that would make us deserving of the honor that people might bestow on us.
