We Got the Beat by Charlotte Caffey
Go-Gos' 1981 debut album Beauty and the Beat is widely regarded as a pop classic. Lead guitarist Charlotte Caffey was inspired by Going to a Go-Go hit We Got the Beat. The group's second single Our Lips are Sealed only reached number 20 on the Hot 100 in December 1981, but it was a sleeper hit.
