A radicalization researcher named ket mac donald explains that part of becoming an extremist is learning how to take on the emotions of the world view. Online communities can immerse people in inaccurate facts and made up ideas that these people then see as definitive proof and evidence depending on how it is presented or reinforced. And if the people presenting this seemingly factual information are also constantly repeating races, slurs and hateful beliefs, then they all become part and parcel of the same thing.
