The Difference Between Existentialism and Nihilism

Existentialism is the idea that you have to give something meaning from yourself. It comes from Victor Frankl, who was in Auschwitz and lost his faith in God because of it. Nihilism would be the radical acceptance that nothing at all matters. And we must confront the ideas that maybe things don't matter,. But if I can assign my own meaning to them, I can find peace in what I can't control.
