In the past few years, i have been attempting to write a novel. I got through about two different draughts, and then was halted by the sort of am trials, travails, tribulations of the past 12 months. And so following that, i decided to go very deep on research am on themes related to the novel. These include complexity, like how do simple processes get more a complex? How do complex adaptive systems arise out of simpler m ones That don't do the kinds of things these other systems do at higher levels? The basis of what i'm calling selfhood.
