The Cost of Training and Credentialing

LZ Granderson: Growing numbers of people are being told that college is a requirement without it being accorded as a right. Increasingly employers have said they are no longer going to be providing that kind of training, he says. LZ: It's way better if you're an employer if the worker has to bear the cost of like doing that training themselves. The labor shortage is certainly affecting lower wage occupations that don't require any credentialing,. But it's really acutely felt in things like health care where there's not even sort of a pool of workers already.
