Our relationships are mutual, but they're not symmetrical. To meet some degree, for the rest of our lives, our relationship with our parents are not fully symmetrical. What do we do there? How do we repair or forgive? That's what you mean. And I think to some degree, it goes back to accepting people's limitations, which is our own limitations. Can I accept it? As a parent too, I'm a parent. And I'm a limited parent, probably. I'm not hopefully not toxic.
