For the last 20 years, governments in europe have put almost all their eggs into the renewals basket. But what we've experienced in europe is that the costs haven't come down for many reasons. The cost of balancing out and the cost of removing reliable forms of energy are staggering. Markets have been so distorted that it's almost impossible for any one to build a power plant nowadays in europe without kind of guarantees of subsidies.
