How Does It Really Work?
The popular idea people have of the filibuster is like, you know, as i said before, sed of ran paul down on the floor for 13 hours. Or maybe most famously, 19 57, on senator m thermand, a record long philibuster, two blocks civil rights legislation,. But these days you don't really see that very often. And that's because with the advent of the clocer rule in 19 17, which is senate rule 22, it sort of transformed into a defacto super majority requirement.
