The Story of Separation

The number of close confidants in the average American has declined by a third in the last 20 years to the point that 53% of American adults claimed to have no close friends at all. The deepest need, the deepest human longing is to be fully known and fully loved. And so the human experience that we tend to settle for is to be unknowable and therefore unlovable.
