How to Apply to Be a Smoke Jumper
The Forest Service has bases out of Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho and Montana. Applying to be a jumper at one of these bases is a whole process. You need like four to six years on a hot shot crew to even dream about smoke jumping. Each base has its own different culture so you have to know a lot about each base.
