"You have to set some hard and fast boundaries, which means in some cases you kind of have to parent yourself," she says. "If you've decided that on Mondays you're using your planning period to plan out a certain set of lessons, then at the end of that hour, you cannot extend your lesson planning period beyond what you've already planned." She adds: "I think oftentimes then this happened to me so often where I would have my teammates would be like, hey, do you want to go during your planning period?"
