Are You a Humanist, or a Relativist?

In your most recent book, called things that bother me death, freedom, the self, et cetera. You have an interesting anecdote about a past experience travelling the hippy trail in the late sixties, early seventies. But you write about as if it's about some one else, saying that you cannot yourself, really recall seeing yourself. Is this a way that we can have some freedom? We can disassociatee on our past and reavent ourself? I wouldn't think that was a kind of freedom, a but a, i'm just, i'm ajust. And i have no sense of identity with the child asi.
