Aiming for Self Direction and Control Over Your Destiny

I wonder, when you were confronted with the reality of mortality at such an early age, what decisions did you make about how you would live your life going forward? A amine, i think it's similar to anyone who experiences something pretty shocking like that. It does force you to reflect and be really intentional about what you want in life.
