The US Response to Syria Returning to the Arab League
Ali Vatanka: I think that we also see just the juxtaposition between the US response versus the Chinese response to even just Syria returning to the Arab League, right? You couldn't some ways credit China for sort of like kicking off these many different rapprochements that we're seeing. And then the US response has been to have Congress push this bill called the Assad Anti-Normalization Act,. He says it aims to prohibit the US from normalizing ties with Assad on top of tightening sanctions against the Assad government.
