Scotland's Constitutional Right to Self-Determination Is a Big Deal
There's now established in law that Scotland has no constitutional legal right to self-determination. What it clashes with is a very stable situation in public opinion, where support for independence is close to 50%. But when you drill into the age demographics of that 50-50 split, you get a very different picture. And in a way, that's what matters now. All that really matters now is whether there is a significant counter reaction to it. Among Scots, it is likely that only through such a change in public opinion,. such revulsion that this stasis might crack.
