Derivatives are basically a proxy for balance sheat capacity o overall in the monetary system. If we don't see derivatives go up, we sort of imply from that that there's not monetary expansion,. There must be something else going on. The money for it in bank reserves, as we've said time and time again, are not money. They're not used as mney. This derivative stuff actually is.
