The biggest reason why people are reluctant is that they believ that you'll just take up their time. The opposite of the doorway principle is when you think that you have to create something grand or do something amazing to get the attention of your clients. In all three instances, it's been a small, durable, low risk entry. It's just a foot in the door. And yet, too many of us are sway by the fact that we need to run a business. Most businesses, massive businesses, started off as tiny doorways.
