Nietzsche's Argument for a Will to Power
Nietzsche suggests that these philosophers are actually guided by a will to power. So instead of the entire history of philosophy being guided by a pursuit of truth, Nietzsche completely overturns that. Instead it is the demonstration of a desire to impose an ordering over the world, over others, over God that seems to exist in all of us. The only truth that exists is their desire to import and to input a truth onto the world. They would prefer a handful of certainty to a whole cartload of beautiful possibilities. These are those people that are immersed in essentially nihilism.
