The Deterrent to Asking Questions
Andre: We are conditioned to waiting to ask for permission before we question anything. It's actually a deterrent to asking questions which is, in a sense, the opposite of education. A lot of kids don't want to draw attention to themselves and raise their hand when they're being asked a question. Andre you have to ask permission to ask a question. You can't learn on your schedule. And not only all of that, but it's viceraly learned rights. The whole notion of permission is not something we we like.
