Judy Garland's Addiction

Judy Garland was just 16 at the time of filming. She looks a lot younger because they did everything they could to make her look younger. They wanted to cast Shirley Temple, but she didn't have Judy's singing chops. This was in addition to putting her on a pretty aggressive diet of basically coffee, cigarettes, and soup.
