Engineering leaders tend to be the kindest like people. They can have a very thoughtful and driven side, but also act more like what silican valley would think of as an executive. The buck tops with almost only two people inside most organizations: head of sales and the had of engineering. If either one of those aren't producing, they will get replaced.
