The Alliance for Self-Directed Education

Sally Kohn: As someone who totally supports student-directed learning, teaching in schools is a bad fit. She says she's involved with the Alliance for Self-Directed Education to help people leave schools. One way they're working on this is what we call the library initiative and helping libraries become spaces for self-directed education. Kohn: We're working with schools to get them to step back to the way schools used to be when there was much more opportunity for creativity.
