The Evolution of the Gravettian Genome

Gravettian hunter-gatherers lived somewhere between 5,000 and 35,000 years ago. Many of them are the ancestors of modern-day Europeans and Asians. Western Gravettian genes can be found continuously for a minimum of 20,000 years in the data set. The epigravettians may have replaced another population known as the Magdalenians.
