Sarah's Memories of School

In 1865, she graduates from Berwick Academy, which is the completion of her formal education. And then when she's 18 in 1868, she first publishes Jenny's Garro's Lovers,. She's like quite close to Boston, called the flag of our union was the name of the piece. So she starts writing and getting published very early. In 1869, she publishes in the Atlantic Monthly, a piece called Mr. Bruce. This sort of establishes her as a local color writer.
