The Utilitarian Code of Crime and Punishment
The last two men to be hanged in England for sodomy happened in 1835. Bentham believed consensual sex was one of the main sources of pleasure. This was almost certainly adding to the sum of human pleasure, he said. It's either unconscionable or it is completely and utterly absurd.
