The a t r is considering design changes to the lateral control system for current and future planes that are expected to reduce susceptibility to flow separation, induced aileron hinge moment reversals and uncommanded aileron deflections. The entusbe concluded that such design changes, if effective, would reduce the need to rely on the changes to flight operations in pilot training which have already been mandated by law. I think power steering is the perfect analogy for this. If you've never driven a car without power steering, man, youre luck. It's it's not great.
