The Impact of the Savannah Fire Management Program on Indigenous Landholders

Savannah Fire Management Program provides funding for fire management projects across the country. One of the partnerships is with the T.E. Island Rangers, who are putting in early burns as the country dries out. It's meant that there's a lower alliance on other external parties to fund the ability for these people to do their work and so it means more money can be generated by Indigenous landholders. The value of carbon credits has gone up over time from $9 or $10 per ton when they first started but now stands at around $35/ton.
