The Den of Robbers

The reference to den of robbers does not refer to a place where thieves do their robbing. Jesus says, you've turned the temple into a hideout for those who think they can escape justice. The message of our culture tells us to do whatever pleases us and then we show up to church service or give an offering. We think that mere religious observance will exempt us from the righteous examination of God.
