The Importance of Longevity
If something interests you, I'm not even a big believer in being good at it. You have to do the same amount of effort that the person who you think you want to emulate has done. Alex Hermose taught me that the feelings that I have are independent of the character traits that I want to espouse. And so if somebody's 20 years old, they need to expect that it's going to take a decade and not convince themselves to stop.
