The Importance of Conlanging

I want to show conlanging as a certain segment of playing with language that's much more advanced. I have discovered people who not only have a conlang but who are fluent in a conlang even if they don't know anything about linguistics. A lot of what you're hearing in film if it's just a line or two is nothing but gibberish and that's fine, but it could be something much more serious than that. It doesn't mean that what they're doing is that weird or strange so I want to make sure we understand the difference between this type of play and other forms of linguistic study.
