The Perils of Judah Abravanel
Judah, aka Leoné Abreo, was the son of Isaac Abravanel. His father moved to Italy with his family after the expulsion of Jews from Spain in 1492. He would subsequently live in Genoa, Naples again, then Venice, and possibly Rome,. The fact that his life story was so peripatetic in the non-philosophical sense is typical.
