There's a sense in which i think they can only be understood from within certain commitments that might be sharede. And so i wonder, just almost methodologically, as a methodological question, what rule does a cound of partisan commitment to the ends that are pursued by social movements into those projects? To what extent is that a necessary epistemological element of understanding? I think it's important, especially in the current consolation, that there is a kind of convergence between several of oneo the more interesting or challenging movements of our times. That therefore, even if some movements focus on one rather than the other, they have to come up with an integrated theoretical analysis, political aim.
