The Benefits of a Skeptic Hotline for Celebrities
In the U.K., a group has set up a hotline for celebrities who want to talk about climate change but don't know anything about it. Expert groups will put them in touch with one or more experts, and they can answer their questions. The media could also use such hotlines as reference points when reporting on an issue like global warming. But scientists often shy away from this technique because they think that manipulating people through psychological reasons is not convincing.
