I think it made several big mistakes, but which one are you referring to? It made john carter boring. Oh, jammed him into a generic action hero with a tragic past. He is so interesting and beautiful. Ind flowery language, not matching the base sort of tone of the rest of the story, is just transfixing to me. Maybe it would have flopped if they'd done that. I mean, you know, maybe they made that change because the world is, in setting is very weird.
