In Advaita Vedanta, meditation does two things. One is preliminary, one is advanced. The first thing it will do for Vedanta is to give you Adikari - the power of focus. Hold on to this practice for the rest of your life. It overcomes the problem called Chitkshapa: Restless mind overcome by focused mind. If you have Mantra Dixa or an Ishta Devatha, we are a qualified student of Vedanta. And once you gather the texts associated with that teaching, you begin to understand it more fully. All these elements are in place and I am taking up Sava classes which puts all those elements into perspective.
Swami Sarvapriyananda teaches the Chapter 6 (Verse 1) of the Bhagavad Gita. In this series of talks, Swami Sarvapriyananda unfolds the highest truths of Vedanta through the study of the Bhagavad Gita (The Song of God).
