The Importance of Humanity in Television
I feel very honored to have had the opportunity to represent black women and I've taken it with a lot of responsibility. The way I fight in onset and speak up and say, no, I won't or this has to change is what makes me want to cry. It's really important to me that we particularly in the canon of television that we are able to be seen with the humanity and the power and the beauty and all of it.
