The Cuban Revolution and the Liberation of Women

I think that when we think about women's liberation within the Cuban revolution, it is really tied to these ideas of new men and new women. You could say that there's all these kind of contradictions in terms of how the revolutionary movement thought about new men andnew women. But I think it's also important to see that those ideals, right, that belief, the individuals could be deeply transformed through revolutionary consciousness and commitment.
