Oscar is a man obsessed with nostalgia. He sees all the awesomeness of the past, but is blind to the aspects of it that are leading them to have fallen behind. So this little lion story, he really puffs up and gets excited talking about it. It's kind of a David Goliath story, but more brutal because in this, you know, David and Goliath both die here. They're like, there was a tragic sacrifice type story.
