The Importance of Self Interest in Entrepreneurship

I see the utilitarian side as sort of a command and control or central planning again, bringing up themes we've discussed a bunch here. Most adaptable equals long term success. And then speaking about selfishness or self interest, I think this is a really important point. We are naturally self interested. So it makes sense for us to care about ourself and our kin. This applies to the economy as well, where entrepreneurs, they take risk and most fail, most waste capital, their own time and most become worse off because of it. But a few succeed. The ones who do succeed benefit everyone.
