The Threat of Terrorism
Terrorism involves the use of violence or intimidation to achieve political, ideological or religious goals. Terrorist acts come in various forms and are driven by diverse motives. The most well known form over the past few decades has been religious terrorism. Separatist terrorism is another form which comes from the aspirations of ethnic or regional groups for independence or self-determination.
