Discipline, the Glad Surrender

Discipline should be, as i have called it in the title of my book on subject, a glad surrender. There will never be discipline of the children until you have disciplined yourselves. Just the simple matter of table manners are a visible sign of an invisible reality. If there are five children and you've got four cookies left, what are you going to do? I teach little johnny to pass the butter to daddy first. Because daddyis more important than i am. Why should i have what i want before i offer to somebody else?"
